Porter Hall often plays host to the work of artists from across the country, but soon some of Pittsburg State University’s resident artists will have their time in the spotlight.
The Art Department faculty of PSU will be showing their work in the biannual faculty exhibit titled “Full Stop” from Wednesday, April 15 through Monday, May 11, in the Harry Krug Gallery in Porter Hall.
PSU Art Historian Dr. Li-Lin Tseng will hold a lecture titled “The 2009 Art Faculty Exhibition: An Introduction” at 4 p.m. Friday, April 24, in Porter Hall, with a reception to follow.
Artists showcased in the exhibit include Marjorie Schick, who will present jewelry and mixed media art; Malcolm Kucharski, who will show his ceramics; James Oliver, exhibiting his paintings; and Rhona Shand and S. Portico Bowman, both displaying mixed media art.
Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, contact Bowman at (620) 235-4305 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit http://www.pittstate.edu/art.
