Pittsburg State University will recognize four faculty Tuesday who have achieved the distinction of University Professor. They will be honored at a reception at 3 p.m. in the Heritage Room of the Overman Student Center.

Faculty are selected for the distinction on the basis of teaching; research, scholarly or creative endeavors; and community, professional or university service.

This fall's new University Professors are: Kent Runyan, Curriculum and Instruction; Mark Johnson, Technology and Workforce Learning; Phil McNew, Engineering Technology; and Tim Thomas, Engineering Technology.
