Scholarship & Award Information
The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi's ongoing commitment to excellence is reflected in its scholarships and awards programs. More than $700,000 is awarded each year to outstanding students, Phi Kappa Phi members and chapters through the Society's various awards competitions: the Fellowship, Phi Kappa Phi Scholar & Artist, Study Abroad Grants, Literacy Grants, and Love of Learning. Each chapter may select one candidate from its local membership to compete for one of sixty $5,000 Fellowship Awards and forty $2,000 Awards of Excellence to pursue a graduate degree in his/her chosen field.
Phi Kappa Phi sets high standards for its award recipients. Selection committees comprised of representatives from each of the Society's five regions carefully review all applications. Applicants are evaluated based on numerous factors, including the applicant's undergraduate academic performance, leadership and service on the campus and in the community, evidence of graduate potential, a personal statement of educational perspective, purpose, and objective, and the evaluation reports from three individuals who are in a position to attest to the student's performance, citizenship, and character.
