OIS works with the instructional and the technical consultants across campus to support faculty, staff and students. Each college has an Instructional Support Consultant(s) to provide technical support. Your Technical Support Consultant assists with computer purchases, hardware and software support issues. The Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology is also available to assist faculty and staff with technology needs.
The OIS techs support the majority of the non-academic offices. Also the telephone and data wiring crew are part of OIS. If you are experiencing a computer, system or telephone problem the most effective way to get it handled is by calling the Gorilla Geeks Help Desk at x4600. The techs work from their ticket list - not email, voice mail or personal communication. Creating a ticket also allows for tracking problems, resolution time, etc.
