Employees new to Pittsburg State University are asked to complete an on-line training program, Bridges: Building a Supportive Community. This online training fulfills the University’s obligation under Federal legislation that requires institutions to provide training for employees relative to preventing sexual assault and sexual violence. In about a week after the appointment date, graduate assistants will receive an email directing them to the login page. Graduate assistants must finish the training within two weeks of receiving the email notification.
Pittsburg State University offers graduate assistantships in many departments and offices on campus. Teaching, administrative and research positions are available.
Students interested in an assistantship will need to apply directly to any department or office they wish to work for. The following departments or offices may have open positions.
All full-time graduate assistants have the opportunity to purchase student insurance at 25% of the cost. The University will pay the remaining 75%. For more information regarding student insurance, please contact Debbie Amershek in Human Resource Services (firstname.lastname@example.org, 620.235.4187).
