The Bachelor of Science in Education degree with a major in English is designed primarily to train prospective English teachers. A minor is not required.You should consult the appropriate sections of the most recent Pittsburg StateUniversity Catalog for the general description of the degree, the specific regulations concerning admission to teacher education, and General Education degree requirements for students preparing to teach secondary school. Admission to teacher education for secondary teaching majors requires a 2.75 GPA in approved common core courses.
