Mrs. Roberta Shilane is an Instructor of Spanish who joined the Department in the Fall of 2001. Before coming to PSU, she studied abroad At the University of the Americas, Mexico, and the Enforex Institute, Salamanca, Spain. Mrs. Shilane taught at Carl Junction High School and McAuley Regional High School, St. Mary's Elementary, and St. Peters Middle School, taught Upward Bound at Crowder College, and is a FLES specialist (Foreign Language in the Elementary School). She was nominated for outstanding faculty PSU and the Golden Apple Award in Joplin. She is married and has three children.
