The Victor J. Emmett, Jr.,
Memorial Prize and Lecture
For publication in MQ and eligibility for the annual Emmett Memorial Prize competition, the Editors invite submission of articles on any literary topic, but preferably on Victorian or Modern British Literature, Literary Criticism, or the Teaching of Literature.
The winner is selected from articles already accepted for publication by the Editorial Board. The winning author will be invited to Pittsburg State University to receive an honorarium and to deliver the annual Emmett Memorial Lecture, which is usually scheduled for the last Friday in September each year.
This award is given by the Emmett family in memory of the late Victor J. Emmett, Jr., who was for many years Professor of English at Pittsburg State and this journal's Editor-in-Chief.
