Doug Bennett joined the Department of Communication faculty in the fall of 2010. His teaching responsibilities include Performance Appreciation each semester and various technical theatre courses including Drafting and Rendering, Technical Production and Scenic Design. Doug has an eclectic background in theatre. He has directed, acted, and designed sets, lights and sound, for schools and theatres all over the U.S. He has been a professional theatre arts educator since 1986. He recently received his Masters of Fine Arts degree in Technical Theatre from Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN. Doug has also formed a successful professional dinner theatre company and has also been a professional storyteller since 2003.Doug's outside interests are in cinema history, magic, storytelling, guitar playing, hiking and volleyball. He is also an avid animal rights advocate and a strong supporter of social diversity.
