Doug Bennett joined the Department of Communication faculty in the fall of 2010. His teaching responsibilities include Performance Appreciation each semester and various technical theatre courses including Technical Production, Scenic Design, Lighting Design, Sound Design, and Speech Communication . Doug has an eclectic background in theatre. He has directed, acted, and designed sets, lights and sound, for schools and theatres all over the U.S. He has worked in professional and academic theatre since 1986. Doug has worked on nearly 100 productions so far in his career. He has started several successful theatre companies during his career as well. Doug earned his Masters of Fine Arts degree in Technical Theatre from Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN in 2009. Doug's interests include storytelling, carpentry, animal rescue and film studies.
