Gil Cooper joined the Communication faculty at Pittsburg State University in 1992. Previously, Mr. Cooper was Director of Speech and Theatre at Moberly Area Community College, Missouri.
Mr. Cooper is the Communication Education Specialist, a speech communication generalist and a member of the theatre faculty. Presentation theory, small group communication and communication education are three of his areas of focus.

Outside the department, Mr. Cooper enjoys games and game design (he used to work for a game company), racquetball, reading and a little photography. He also manages to squeeze in a Kansas City Chiefs game now and then.
