Join us in celebrating and recognizing the American Library Associations' Banned Books Week from September 24th to September 30th 2017. Leonard H. Axe Library will have a variety of events, by professors and students, to help raise awareness to different forms of censorship and tools to combat such efforts.

This Tuesday September 26th at 6pm in front of the Axe Grind Coffee shop there will be an interpretive reading of Allen Ginsberg's Howl. Things will start with a short introduction, by Dr. Chris Anderson describing who Allen Ginsberg was and a short history of the obscenity trials. Afterwards the student group Alpha Psi Omega, directed by Katia Arians, will present an interpretive reading of the poem. And there will be time for Q&A afterwards
