About the Car Show
The Pittsburg State Car Show is held every year on the third Saturday in April. It is hosted by the local Society of Automotive Engineers chapter. It is free to the public and open to anyone who is interested in showing their car for a registration fee of $10. PSU’s car show has a great atmosphere appealing to the whole family. Music is usually played by a local band or radio station that takes you back in time by playing classic rock and those great 60’s songs you haven’t heard in forever. Our local SAE Mini-Baja chapter provides refreshments and some delicious barbeque. For you lucky ones, there are door prizes and raffles you can enter to win prizes that are donated from local businesses. So come on over to the PSU Car Show and enjoy cool prizes, good food, and excellent music.
Mo-Kan Dragway is a 1/4 mile dragstrip located just north of Asbury, Missouri on MO-171. As of right now there are no scheduled races the day of the car show but this could change at anytime. For more information go to: www.mokandragway.com.
Participants
Make sure you are here by no later then 10am for registration or you will not be able to participate. Signs will be posted the day of the show telling you where to sign-in. People who are participating all receive a PSU car show dash plaque and two raffle tickets. After the conclusion of the car show we plan on cruising to the local sonic drive-in for participants who are interested. If a club or group would like to reserve parking pre-registration is required and needs to specify how many spots they want held. For more information to set this up, contact Trent Lindbloom at 620-235-4198.
