Three Pittsburg State University volleyball players were recently named to American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America teams. Senior Linda Igbinigie earned first team All-America status, while junior Pamela Cartagena and senior Sammie Williams were each named to the third team. It is the first All-America honor for Igbinigie and the second for both Cartagena and Williams.
Pitt State has now had seven players earn nine All-America honors, all since head coach Ibraheem Suberu took over the program.
