Technology Fact...

The majority of the College of Technology grads have an average starting salary of $44,000, well above the national mean.

Mid-day on the OvalBy combining a quality education with an affordable price, Pittsburg State offers an exceptional value among colleges and universities in the region and beyond.

When compared to other colleges in the region-public and private-we stand out as a very affordable choice, with tuition costs among the lowest you'll find. And this holds true for out-of-state students as well as for students from Kansas.

Add extra credits at no extra cost

Unlike many other schools, at Pitt State you pay a flat tuition amount for 10 credit hours or more, which lets you add extra credit hours to your course load without incurring any additional per-credit-hour cost. Whether you're taking 10 credit hours a semester or 18 credit hours, your cost is the same. And at Pitt State, student fees-such as your Gorilla ID card, event tickets, student health care access, and parking-are included in tuition costs.

Generous financial aid

Keeping tuition costs down is just one of the ways we make Pitt State affordable for a wide range of families. We also have a generous program of need-based and merit financial aid. More than 80 percent of students receive some form of financial aid, and the average aid package exceeds $7,000 a year.

Don't live in Kansas? You still may qualify for in-state tuition.

  • The Gorilla Advantage offers in-state tuition to students from 14 counties in Missouri and 8 counties in Oklahoma.
  • Through the Midwest Student Exchange Program, students from Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wisconsin pay only 1-1/2 time the in-state tuition rate.
