Pitt C.A.R.E.S. FAQ’s
Q: When does the program start?
A: Check-in will begin at 8:00 a.m. in McCray Hall, and program activities are scheduled from 8:30a.m. to approximately 4:00 p.m. Please plan so that you are able to be here for the entire program. Full attendance is required for enrollment.
Q: Should my family plan to attend Pitt C.A.R.E.S.?
A: Yes! Parent/guest sessions are offered concurrently with student sessions. The parent/guest sessions help families anticipate the rewards and challenges of sharing the college experience with their students. A sibling program (for ages 6-16) is also available for approximately 1 ½ hours during the morning. The program allows siblings to get a glimpse of what their brother and sister will be experiencing at PSU.
Q: What if I am not able to come to one of the sessions?
A: Students are strongly encouraged to make every effort to attend a session in June. However, students who are not able to come to a Pitt C.A.R.E.S. session should contact the office of Admission for information on late enrollment procedures.
Q: Where do I park?
A: On the day of the event, visitors are encouraged to park in the Brown Parking lots or Visitors spots located throughout campus. Relatively few visitors’ spots are located to the east, west, and north of the Overman Student Center. Brown parking spaces are located to the east of the Axe library and football stadium, as well as to the north of Grubbs Hall. No parking permits are required on the days of Pitt C.A.R.E.S. Click on this map of campus for a clearer view of parking locations: http://www.pittstate.edu/about/maps/campus-map.dot
