Welcome to Pittsburg State University, home of the Gorillas! Midwest values and hospitality are found on this campus of more than 7,400 students where the student to faculty ratio is 19-to-1. At Pittsburg State University, students can select from over 100 academic programs within the colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, and Technology.

Choosing Pittsburg State opens the door to a college experience complete with respected programs, caring and professional faculty, and multiple opportunities to get involved - the traditional, beautiful campus is the home of more than 150 student clubs and organizations. Pittsburg State is also a place of intense preparation for the future. Within six months of graduation, approximately 90% of our graduates are either gainfully employed or enrolled in advanced studies.

Located in the southeast corner of Kansas, PSU is within two hours of Tulsa, Okla., Kansas City, Springfield, Mo., and Fayetteville, Ark. Our students are close enough for big city visits, but can still choose from a host of local activities and entertainment. Our Gorilla Advantage program makes it possible for students in multiple counties surrounding Kansas to attend Pitt State at in-state rates. Qualified students who live outside of these areas, can take advantage of our new Gorilla Edge program, which allows students in Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas to attend Pitt State at a reduced rate
