Michael McKinnis

Michael McKinnis is an Instructional Professor of Economics in the Kelce College of Business at Pittsburg State University. Mike specializes in teaching undergraduate introductory courses in economics. From 1997 until 2008, he was on the business faculty at Allen Community College in Iola where he taught courses in the areas of accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, and management. He served as chairperson of the ACC business and technology department from 2007 until 2008. A 1993 graduate of Fort Scott Community College, Mike subsequently earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Pittsburg State University in 1995 and an MBA with an accounting emphasis from PSU in 1998. In 2008, Mike was recognized by FSCC as an outstanding young alumnus. In addition to his academic credentials, Mike also holds the Certified Management Accountant and Certified Financial Manager designations. A native of Fort Scott, Mike resides in Iola with his wife Susie.
