Oct. 25, 5 PM at the University Lake | OPEN TO ALL | Two-person teams take on the Unversity Lake with homemade rafts.

Homecoming Champion

Student organizations competing and attending multiple aspects of Homecoming are eligible to win the Homecoming Champion trophy.

An energetic pep rally combined with a lively dance competition, featuring our student organizations.

Raft Races
Homemade boats are put to the test by completing a lap across the University lake. 
Parade Floats
Craft a dazzling float illustrating the theme "Gorilla of the Century" for the Homecoming Parade. Sign up as a student club or downtown business. 

Homecoming Court

Student organizations can nominate multiple members as royalty candidates for Homecoming. To be eligible, the nominator submits a statement of support and the organization participates in at least one homecoming event. Nominees write a cover letter, complete interviews, and top nominees table at kick-off night.

GorillaFest in Gorilla Village

The official Pitt State tailgate prior to Gorilla Football. Admission is free! Three hours prior to kick-off, join fans in Gorilla Village for food vendors, live music, and the pre-game pep rally. This is the perfect spot for families with free kids' games, bounce houses, and balloon twisting. With the help of our spirit squad and Pride of the Plains Band, cheer on the student-athletes as they enter Carnie Smith Stadium during the Gorilla Walk.
