 Artrageous

Artrageous
Sept. 21 • 3 p.m.

This one-of-a-kind family experience is best described as a 3D visual concert that blends the music of original recording artists and composers with live, multisensory art.

Expect singing, dancing, humor, audience participation—and artists painting at lightning speed to create giant works of art right before your eyes.

Artrageous, formed in the 1980s near Albuquerque, New Mexico, began in children’s theater and street performance and has grown into an international phenomenon. They’ve performed in 49 states and 10 countries, with past appearances at Carnegie Hall, NBA All-Star halftime, World Cup Soccer Finals in Paris, Cirque du Soleil’s main stage, and alongside the Blue Man Group in Las Vegas.

On Sept. 22, the group will stick around for a performance geared especially toward elementary and middle school students; Bicknell Center staff are inviting area schools to register for the performance. Interested teachers and principals should contact Sarah Moon at sdmoon@pittstate.edu

They were a hit when they came to the Bicknell Center in 2021, and they're coming back in 2026!

Fusing Bruno-Mars-caliber stage presence with top-tier vocals and wall-to-wall choreography, the men of Uptown combine the smooth stylings of R&B with the fresh hits of today in a unique and modern show that gets every crowd on their feet!

Born in New York City (the epicenter of contemporary pop and soul music), the group exudes unparalleled energy with their blend of contemporary radio hits and classic Motown music.

Every member of Uptown is a world-class soloist, with frequent comparisons to the artistry of icons like Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. When they come together as a collective, the resulting remix creates an electrifying show.

 Chicago

Chicago
April 29, 2026 • 7 p.m.

This universal tale of fame, fortune, and all that jazz delivers show-stopping songs and some of the most dazzling dancing ever staged.

With a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander, and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Chicago is Broadway’s longest-running American musical — and it’s still going strong. Winner of six Tony Awards®, two Olivier Awards, a Grammy®, and countless standing ovations, it continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

This tour is directed by David Hyslop with choreography by Gregory Butler, based on the original work of Tony Award winners Walter Bobbie and Ann Reinking. The creative team also includes Tony Award winners John Lee Beatty (set design), William Ivey Long (costumes), and Ken Billington (lighting).

Set in the razzle-dazzle world of the 1920s, Chicago tells the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who kills her lover and schemes her way to fame with the help of a slick lawyer, sparking sensational headlines that feel ripped from today’s tabloids.

From Mexico City to Moscow, São Paulo to South Africa, Chicago has wowed audiences everywhere. Whether it’s your first Broadway experience, you’ve seen the Oscar®-winning film, or you’re ready to relive the magic, this is one show you can’t miss.

Ticket prices:

Tickets vary with seating location and range from $61 to $75 for early bird purchases prior to Oct. 1, and from $64 to $89 for purchases after Oct. 1. Discounts apply for seniors, children/students, and faculty/staff.
