Pitt State Theatre announces 2025-26 season 

Pitt State Theatre, part of the Communication Department, has announced its shows for the 2025-26 season.  

Tickets are now on sale, and are free to Pitt State employees and students. They may be purchased and picked up in Room 137 of the Weede Building from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday, online at pittstate.edu/tickets, or by calling 620-235-4796. 

The Little Prince 

Oct. 23-25 • 7:30 p.m. 
Oct. 25-26 • 2 p.m. 

Dotty and Bill Miller Theater • Bicknell Family Center for the Arts 

Based on the beloved children’s book written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, this show brings to life the story of a mysterious boy who appears to a stranded pilot and makes an unusual request. Together, they embark on an intergalactic journey of imagination and transformation. This extraordinary adventure will enchant audiences of all ages. Directed by Megan Westhoff. 

Theatre Unplugged: Student Directed One-Acts 

Dec. 5-6 • 7 p.m. 

PSU Studio Theatre | Joplin Street Entrance (Grubbs Hall) 

Think of this as a public final exam for the COMM 544 Stage Direction class. Always fascinating, always popular, and always free of charge! Some plays may contain mature content.

Dotty and Bill Miller Theater | Bicknell Family Center for the Arts 

Considered one of playwright Samuel Beckett’s greatest tragicomic works, this play explores the inability to act, remembrances of tasks never completed, and endings that never happen. Set in an apocalyptic world with nowhere to go and not much to do, the characters spend their days searching for meaning and contemplating the absurdity of life. Directed by Linden Little.

During a perfectly planned evening when a struggling sculptor hopes to impress both his fiancée’s father and a millionaire art collector, a blackout causes everything to go wrong. In this wildly funny farce there are unexpected guests, attempts to conceal deception, and unknown surprises lurk around every dark corner. Directed by Megan Westhoff.
