Now is the time to think about tutoring...
Do I need tutoring? Where do I get tutoring?? Does it cost anything for tutoring???
If you are unsure if you need tutoring, you should probably be looking into tutoring.
Go see the department you are having troubles with and ask about any tutoring they have available. If they don't have any available, go to the Student Success in Axe Library and see what they may have available.
If there is nothing available there, talk to someone in you class (that is doing better than you!) and see if they would be willing to tutor you.
Cost: Tutorial assistance may be paid to students under Chapters 30, 33, 35 and 1606. Tutorial assistance helps the student pay for necessary tutoring and is a supplement to the student's regular education benefit. (SCO Handbook 5.5)

I hope everyone had a good break in December and January and are re-charged and ready for this semester. As always, I'd stress your focus should be on your family and academics but would also like any time you are available to get involved with the Student Veterans Organization. If you have any questions and would like to see the Constitution/By Laws please visit: https://pittstate.campuslabs.com/engage/organization/svo That is the official Pitt State Student Organizations website and you can submit a membership form on that webpage. Or feel free to contact me at tsenecaut@pittstate.edu, by phone at 620-235-4776, or stop by my office in the Physical Plant which is across the street from Whitesitt Hall. There are going to be volunteer opportunities this spring that we'd like your involvement in. Besides "The Big Event", there will be postings of volunteer opportunities on Gorilla Engage.
As a Veteran you've dedicated a portion of your life to service and I think it's important that we continue to serve not only our families and friends but also our campus and community. Lastly, I know a lot of you have visited the Veteran's Resource Center in Whitesitt and have seen the assets available there for your use; those that haven't I'd ask that you do so to not only use the computers, printers, and other equipment but meet and visit with your fellow Veterans here on campus.
Have a great semester!

Federal and State Tuition Assistance options are available to qualified active duty members of the armed forces. TA is separate from FAFSA, but can be used in conjunction with this and other financial aid resources. However, TA is identified as the First Payer.
Request for Military Tuition Assistance may be initiated by the service member in their branch portal and approved by the ESO up to 90 days prior to the start of the semester, but no later than 2 weeks prior to the semester start date. Click on the appropriate branch above for application procedures.
Service members MUST receive approval from an Educational Services Officer or Military Service counselor PRIOR to enrolling in classes.
When receiving TA, you must fill out an Information Release For Students with Third Party Sponsorships form each semester and submit it to Lyndy Little in the Cashier's Office, or by email at llittle@pittstate.edu. This form allows her to submit an invoice on your behalf. This money is paid directly to the institution by the individual services.
