Position Description

Information Technology Services of Pittsburg State University is accepting resumes for a Software Developer II. The final candidate will provide database and web programming/analysis for the University. Estimated start date is February 10, 2019.

Responsibilities

The Software Developer II works directly with fellow ITS team members and campus clients on projects that support University needs. The Software Developer II must research, design, develop, and test applications; set operations specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements; and apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. In addition, the Software Developer II must work closely with vendors on design, development, and implementation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Two to four years experience coding, testing, and debugging application programs.
  • Education may be substituted for experience as determined by the University.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference will be given to those with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or a related field).
  • Preference will be given to those that have experience with html coding, Microsoft C# programming, Universe BASIC programming, accessing a Microsoft SQL database through programming, or accessing a Universe database through programming.
