Position Description

The School of Nursing at Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for a full-time temporary, non-tenure earning faculty member.

Responsibilities

Teaching responsibilities include teaching Bachelor of Science in Nursing theory and clinical courses. Service responsibilities include engaging in institutional, professional and community service activities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s in Nursing or related field required by August 12, 2019

  • Must possess RN license in Kansas and Missouri by August 12, 2019

  • Relevant clinical experience required

  • Current immunizations and BLS or ACLS Certification as required for clinical areas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral Degree in Nursing or related field required by August 12, 2019
  • Nursing teaching experience preferred

The School of Nursing offers programs of study at the baccalaureate and graduate levels. The School of Nursing programs are accredited by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. Nursing majors number more than 500. There are 19 full-time faculty and a fully equipped Health Simulation Center/Learning Resource Center serving PSU students and others in the region. Pittsburg State University is an accredited, comprehensive, state-supported institution in southeastern Kansas, enrolling approximately 7,000 students annually.
