Applied Guitar Part-time Temporary Lecturer

Position Description

The Music Department has part-time opening to teach applied guitar.


Teach applied guitar to majors and minors, and provide individual and group instruction.

Minimum Requirements

  • Appropriate Master's required

  • Substantial professional experience as a performer

  • Ability to relate well with students and faculty in a collegial regional institution within an environment of shared governance is essential

  • Ability to relate to the general public and area music teachers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred

The Department of Music, one of 12 academic units within the College of Arts and Sciences, is accredited by NASM. With 15 full-time faculty, 5 part-time faculty, and 100 music majors, the B.M., B.M.E., B.A., and M.M. degrees are offered.
