“Shark Tank” entrepreneur to speak at the Bicknell Center

Hot on the heels of a sold-out crowd for TV personality and scientist Bill Nye, the next speaker in the H. Lee Scott Speaker Series at Pittsburg State University will be entrepreneur, bestselling author, and investor Daymond John from ABC’s “Shark Tank.”

His presentation is planned for 7 p.m. on May 8 at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts.

Known as “The People’s Shark,” he is the founder and CEO of FUBU, a global fashion brand that grew from a startup into a company with peak annual sales exceeding $350 million.

A pioneer in branding and marketing, John is widely recognized for blending fashion, culture, and music, and for his innovative use of social media and pop culture trends.
