Of the total degrees to be awarded, 357 of them are graduate degrees which include master’s, education specialist, and doctorate of nursing practitioner degrees, while 750 of them are undergraduate level which include bachelor’s, associate, and certificate degrees.
Degree candidates represent 31 states and 16 countries.
Ceremony times and details are as follows:
3 p.m. - College of Arts and Sciences (Departments of Biology and Chemistry; Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing)
5 p.m. - College of Arts & Sciences (Departments of Art, Communication, English and Modern Languages, General Studies, Integrated Studies, Mathematics and Physics, Music; School of History, Philosophy, and Social Sciences)
7 p.m. - College of Education
An ROTC Commissioning ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the PSU Veterans Memorial.
A Nursing pinning ceremony will be held at noon at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts in the Linda and Lee Scott Performance Hall (doors open at 11:15 a.m.).
9 a.m. - Crossland College of Technology (Schools of Automotive & Engineering Technology and Construction)
11 a.m. College of Technology (School of Technology & Workforce Learning)
1 p.m. Kelce College of Business
Each ceremony includes both undergraduate and graduate degree candidates.
All graduates and guests are to check-in at the Robert W. Plaster Center, 1701 S. Homer, 15 minutes prior to each ceremony. Graduates and ticketed guests will start in the Plaster Center and then proceed to John Lance Arena. Non-ticketed guests will be directed to the arena upon check-in.
Graduates may invite an unlimited number of guests, and the community is welcome, too. Guests will be seated in John Lance Arena.
PSU will webcast the commencement ceremonies via livestream at pittstate.tv
The webcast will start shortly before each ceremony. An archived copy of the ceremonies will be available online at pittstate.tv via the "video on demand” option.
