Severe weather sessions planned at Pitt State

Be prepared for severe weather. The Pittsburg State University Police and Public Safety office will host two sessions on March 6: one focused on becoming more weather aware that is open to the campus and community, and one especially for First Responders.

Both presentations will be held at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts, 1711 S. Homer. No registration is needed and admission is free to both.

“Become Weather Aware,” a presentation by the National Weather Service, is planned for 3 p.m. Meteorologists will highlight what makes a storm severe, what to watch for, and what to do to be prepared when severe storms roll through our area.

“First Responder Spotter Training,” also presented by the National Weather Service, is planned for 6 p.m. and is open only to area First Responders.
