Pitt State students have several opportunities this fall to network on campus with companies who are hiring for current and future jobs and internships. Each event is free and targets students in a particular area of study.

Sept. 13 | Meet the Firms Day 
3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Overman Student Center 

Meet the Firms Day is a career fair-style, networking event that targets students in the following areas of academic study who are seeking full-time and internship opportunities: 

  • Accounting majors; 
  • Computer Information System majors;  
  • Business Economics majors; 
  • Finance majors; 
  • Fraud Examination minors; 
  • Internal Audit minors; 
  • Internal Audit Education Partnership certificate candidates; and 
  • MBAs with a concentration in Accounting

Sept. 21 | College of Technology Company Day (Construction, GIT, TWL) 
8:30 a.m. to noon at the Kansas Technology Center 

This two-day event will allow industry representatives to meet face-to-face with students in the college. 

The focus on Sept. 21 will be:

  • Environmental and Safety Management 
  • Graphics & Imaging Technologies

8:30 a.m. to noon at the Kansas Technology Center 

This two-day event will allow industry representatives to meet face-to-face with students in the college.

Oct. 19 | Fall Career Expo (Health, Human Services, and Education) 
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Overman Student Center 

This two-day event is open to students from all majors and classifications and will allow them to network with employers and to learn more about opportunities available in their field of interest. This fair targets experiential learning opportunities, from summer employment at camps to internships and full-time professional positions.  

The focus on Oct. 19 will be health, human services and education related areas of academic study:

  • English & Modern Languages 
  • Family and Consumer Sciences 
  • Health, Human Performance, and Recreation
