The Solo & Chamber Music Series continues with a concert by Benjamin Appl, baritone, planned for 7:30 p.m. in the Sharon Kay Dean Recital Hall in McCray Hall.
Hailed as the most promising of today’s up-and-coming song recitalists, baritone Appl is celebrated by audiences and critics alike for his voice, range, and artistry.
Appl is increasingly in demand on the world’s most prestigious stages, collaborating with distinguished ensembles such as the Philharmonia Orchestra, Vienna Symphony, Academy of Ancient Music, Les Violons du Roy, and Concerto Köln. He made his BBC Proms debut in September 2015 singing Brahms’ “Triumphlied” with Marin Alsop and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
He will be accompanied by James Baillieu, pianist.
