The Pittsburg State University jazz ensemble, directed by Robert Kehle, and jazz combo, directed by Todd Hastings, will present a free concert at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 in the Linda & Lee Scott Performance Hall in the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts. The concert also will showcase performances by the SEK Kansas Music Educators Association (SEK KMEA) District Jazz Band, comprised of high school musicians chosen at District auditions on Nov. 6. The concert will have something for everyone, from jazz standards to contemporary works.
