Admissions criteria for the Master’s Degree in Teaching (Secondary) will include the following:
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution verifying the applicant’s earned degree in content area or completion of coursework equivalent to requirements for Pittsburg State
  • University-approved teacher education programs
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.00
  • Successful completion of the professional disposition assessment
  • Completion of a background check
  • Writing Sample
  • Two completed recommendations
  • Passing score on the appropriate Praxis subject assessment as required by KSDE.
