The Master of Science Degree with a Major in Reading and emphasis in Classroom Reading Teacher focuses on preparing licensed teachers in classrooms from Kindergarten through Grade 12. Graduate students in this program leave with the knowledge, skills, and strategies required to enhance their ability as a classroom reading teacher. The Master of Science Degree with a Major in Reading and emphasis in Classroom Reading Teacher program includes 36 graduate credit hours completely ONLINE. The program was created for the busy classroom teacher. All assignments and the practicum were designed to be completed in whatever grade level you teach. The program can be completed in either two years by taking two courses per semester or four years by taking one course per semester.
The program requires a teaching license for completion and is open to out-of-state or international candidates. Coursework in this program may be transferred to other states with the approval of the appropriate licensing agency. This program does not lead to licensure or an endorsement to the teaching license in Kansas.
