Reference
librarians can help you learn how
to find sources in the stacks and on a variety of
databases.
Interlibrary Loan allows you access to books and journals Axe Library doesn't have. For instance, with
Full Text Journals,
you can read journal articles from over over 6,000 full text journals and
newspapers.
Government Documents
is both a website and an entire floor in the library. Axe
Library is a depository of federal documents, which will often have the
information you need on social, political, and environmental issues.
The Axe Library website has much to offer.
Library Help is the first place to
start. It gives you all the information you need for beginning a research
project. Style Manuals and Guides can lead you to various outside sources on
citing sources and writing research. Internet Search Engines
can help you
find professional articles. Searching the Internet describes the different
specialized search engines, explains how to ask the right questions, and
demonstrates how one can use Boolean Operators. The website also connects you
to the departments listed above.
