Beta Epsilon Chapter
Phi Sigma Kappa is a fraternity devoted to brotherhood, scholarship,
and character. Founded at Massachusetts Agricultural College
in Amherst, now the University of Massachusetts on March 15,
1873 for form a “society to promote morality, learning
and social culture.” In 1985, Phi Sigma Kappa merged with
Phi Sigma Epsilon to form the largest merger in the fraternal
world. Phi Sigma Kappa started at Pittsburg State University
as Pi Sigma Epsilon then merged with Phi Sigma Epsilon, which
later merged with Phi Sigma Kappa in 1986.
The Special Olympics is the national philanthropy for Phi Sigma
Kappa. The Special Olympics is an international nonprofit organization
that’s committed to empowering individuals with intellectual
disabilities to become physically fit, productive and respected
members of society through sports training and competition.
Each year for the Special Olympics, the men of Phi Sigma Kappa
host the Trampoline-a-Thon where they jump for 72 straight hours. |
