PITT State C.A.R.E.S.

Pitt State shows new Gorillas it C.A.R.E.S.

The next crop of Pittsburg State University Gorillas began arriving on campus on June 8. C.A.R.E.S. (Campus Advisement, Registration and Enrollment Sessions) are held each June and July for incoming freshmen. Students participating in C.A.R.E.S. learn some of the basics about the campus and college life, including the bookstore, student health center, student employment and university housing. The new freshmen visit the academic departments, receive advisement and enroll in their fall classes.

Pitt State encourages parents and siblings of new freshmen to attend C.A.R.E.S. with their student. Special sessions are designed for parents and siblings, who always have questions and concerns of their own.

C.A.R.E.S. repeats eight times in June and July. The June 8, 11, 15, 18 and 22 sessions are all full. The June 25 session is open to education majors only. Space is still available in the June 29 and July 13 sessions.

C.A.R.E.S. is organized by the Office of Admission and Enrollment Services. For more information, visit the Office of Admission and Enrollment Services Web page or call 620-235-4251.
