Summer classes begin June 5
Pittsburg State University’s summer short courses are an increasingly popular option for students working toward their degrees and for professionals either working on advanced degrees or just looking to sharpen their skills. The short courses as well as the regular summer classes begin on Tuesday, June 5. Enrollment will be on Monday, June 4.
PSU will offer two summer sessions. The first will run through June 29. The second will run July 2-27.
The classes and short courses cover a wide array of topics for everyone from the beginning student to persons seeking advanced degrees. Elementary and middle school teachers, for example, can choose to learn about ways to present economic lessons using a pet-friendly or Wizard of Oz theme. Other classes address the issue of classroom management, sports nutrition, Spanish conversation, pharmacology in nursing, ADHD in adolescents and depression and anxiety in older adults.
