PSU’s Oldest Tradition
Apple Day – PSU’s Oldest Tradition – is celebrated each year on the first Thursday of March. The event recalls the early struggles to establish the university and honors the key persons who made it happen. (The REAL story of Apple Day).
This year, the Apple Day Convocation will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, in McCray Recital Hall. Speakers will include Vice President James AuBuchon and Vice President Robert Ratzlaff. As part of the Apple Day observance, winners of the PSU Alumni Association’s Ralf Thomas Award for Distinguished Service, winners of the Outstanding Faculty Award, and winners of the student Golden Gorilla Awards will be announced.
The Apple Day Convocation is open to the public. For more information, call Student Activities at 620-235-4795.
