November 12, 2008 12:00AM

Ever wanted to learn more about running a business but lacked the time or money to pursue an MBA? The Kelce College of Business at Pittsburg State University may have a solution with their new Mini-MBA program.

The Mini-MBA program is a series of 10 three-hour courses, to be held from 6-9 p.m. on Friday evenings this winter. The courses include strategy, marketing, advertising, finance, accounting, legal considerations, human resource management, international business and leadership.

All the courses will be presented by instructors with advanced degrees and years of practical business experience.

The Mini-MBA does not require a college degree. Rather, it is designed to help all businesspeople - those currently working and those aspiring to run a business - cope with the realities of 21st century competition. Upon completing the courses, students will receive a Certificate of Completion from the Kelce College of Business.

Tuition, including all handouts, notes and refreshments, is $900 for all 10 courses and is due before Wednesday, Dec. 31.
