It is the responsibility of every person at Pittsburg State University to take a role in preventing crisis. Awareness is important. Be alert to potential risks and safety hazards. Provide input to your supervisor.
Appropriate training and exercises will be conducted on an ongoing basis to provide for the safety, welfare and preparedness of the university community to handle a critical incident creating a crisis situation. The university complies with appropriate law and interacts with appropriate outside agencies.
The University Crisis Response Planning Committee is charged with the responsibility of reviewing on an annual basis all pertinent policies and procedures for crisis preparedness at Pittsburg State University and will make recommendations to the President on an ongoing basis.
