Resurfacing of the Basketball and Tennis Courts

This summer the Physical Plant had the cracks repaired and repainted the surfaces of the six tennis courts south of Weede.  We installed six new nets on the courts and repaired the fence and painted and repaired the light fixtures.  In addition, we will be adding a windscreen on the south side of the courts.  We also resurfaced and repainted the two existing tennis courts that are east of Weede and made them into two new full length basketball courts.   In this project we installed two new light poles, and four basketball goals.  We also poured a new concrete slab and relocated the track team’s storage shed onto it.  It was a time-consuming project that required specialized paint (Step Saver by Coronado) that is slip resistant and durable.  If you get a chance to go by the area, please stop to see these two wonderful projects that definitely add to the beauty of the campus.
