Computer
If you are having problems or need assistance with your computer, you should follow one of these steps:
- Contact the Technical Support Consultant for your area or person in charge of the service with which you are having problems.
- The Contact Person in your department has the ability to enter a trouble ticket. The Trouble Ticket link is located on the contact person's GUS menu under Miscellaneous Processes.
- Call the Gorilla Geeks Help Desk at extension 4600. They will create a trouble ticket and assign it to the appropriate person for resolution.
Network
If you think there is a problem with the network, you should:
- Determine if the problem is associated with a specific program, limited to off-campus browsing, or all network activity.
- Check to see if others in your area are having similar problems.
- Contact the Gorilla Geeks Help Desk (x4600) to report the problem. The more specific information provided the sooner the problem can be resolved.
Telephone
If you are having a problem with your phone, you should:
- Make sure the cord is firmly plugged into the correct jack.
- Make sure the handset cord is firmly plugged into the telephone base.
- Try another call to ensure the problem isn't associated with only one call.
- If you continue to have problems, contact the Gorilla Geeks Help Desk (x4600) to create a trouble ticket. The more specific information provided the sooner the problem can be resolved.
It is important to note that you can not move your telephone to a different jack and continue to receive service. If you want to move your phone, a trouble ticket will need to be generated and billing information provided. |
