Introducing the Angel Discussion Forum
Wednesday, March 4, 2009, 3:00-4:00p in 101 Grubbs Hall.
Using the Angel Discussion Forum, you can create opportunities for students to share ideas outside of class in a venue that lets you have as large or small a role in the process as you wish. Exercises like “Think, Pair, Share” can begin on the discussion board and continue in class, or you can use the discussion board to create a low-risk way for students to participate in class discussion. Students can work in small or large groups, and you can use the attachment function to let students share drafts of work in progress.
Workshop participants will try out three different discussion board configurations as seen from the students’ perspective and will have an opportunity to set up a discussion board of their own.
RSVP by 5 PM Tuesday, March 3. Some advance preparation is required.
