The CTLT supports course development by providing TechSmith Relay (self-hosted solution) for faculty use. This screen capture tool makes it very easy for you to capture your computer's desktop, voice narration and video from a webcam. TechSmith Relay can be used on any faculty computer or in a classroom.
TechSmith Relay also has free apps for both iOS and Android devices. This app activates your device's camera so you can capture learning moments on the go and submit to the Relay server.
To begin using this tool, request an account by contacting Susan Dellasega in the CTLT at x4270.
Beginning Wednesday, August 27th, the URL will change for our current Relay server:
The server will be unavailable for roughly 30 minutes on August 27th beginning at 10:00am on this date to process this change. You can still record during this timeframe; however, you may have an extended delay in waiting for your video to process.
The recorders are designed to automatically recognize this name change upon a restart of the recording background service. You are not required to reinstall the Relay Recorder after this maintenance, but it may be necessary to restart your machine in order to reconnect to the Relay server. (Check the URL at the bottom of the recorder--if it is the new URL, you do not need to restart your computer.)
