A search for a new central computer system is under way!
The campus is currently conducting a search to identify options to replace our current Human Resource, Payroll and Finance systems which are all part of the University’s GUS system (also known as the Admin System, Secure Shell or IBM System).
Other than capital building projects, the cost to replace our current computer system will be one of the most expensive projects for the University. It is vital that stakeholders are involved and provide input. There will be several groups involved at varying levels, including a Project Team, Department Stakeholders and Campus Stakeholders. And we will also ask for input from the entire campus as we reach project milestones. We have developed FAQ’s that will answer many questions about the project, and we will continue to add to the FAQ’s as the project develops.
