Long Term Care Insurance Program
Group Long Term Care Insurance Program Webinars
Current active and retired employees are able to apply for coverage under the program at any time; however, Full Medical Underwriting will be required for enrollment. With Full Underwriting, you will need to complete a Long Form application which includes a full medical questionnaire, to be approved for coverage. New Hire Employees: The only exception to the Full Underwriting process is New Hire employees and their spouses. Once the employee becomes benefits eligible, they have 30 days to apply for coverage with the following underwriting requirements:

Please NOTE: Both webinars have a maximum of 150 participants and is on a first come, first serve basis. Registration is not needed. Individuals will need to click on the event address link the day of the presentation at least 15 minutes before the start and sign in. Once 150 people dial in, all other potential participants will be locked out for that session. So if you can’t participate in the first one, you can attend the second one. Please also be aware to check for pop up blockers and disable them if they prevent you from signing in.

The website has recently been updated and enrollment is now easier. Now, anyone can apply on line now. In the past, if you needed to be underwritten you had to complete a paper application and mail it to Genworth.

- Enter your applicant type. For active employees select “Employee”. If you are a spouse of an active employee, select “Spouse of an employee”. If you are a dependent of an active employee, select “Other”. If you are a retiree or any dependent (spouse or child) of a retired employee, select “Other”.

State Employee Health Plan Group Long Term Care Insurance Program - this link provides general information on the program.
Genworth Financial - this link provides detailed information on the plan and how to apply. The State of Kansas has contracted with Genworth Life Insurance Company to offer Group Long Term Care Insurance to benefits eligible Active State Employees and Retirees of the State of Kansas between the ages of 18 and 80 through a voluntary program. Certain family members are eligible as well.
