2009 Outstanding MBA Student
Pittsburg State University and the Kelce College of Business recognized James Kirby as the 2009 Outstanding MBA Student on April 20 at the 51st Annual Kelce Awards Banquet. Kirby has had an outstanding career at PSU and was unanimously chosen by the Business Graduate Faculty for this honor. His degree in International Business has helped him score in the 95% on the Major Field Test nationally.
Kirby, a native of the United Kingdom, came to the United States in 2008 having twelve years of experience in real estate. This prior work experience as well as the rigor of his undergraduate degree from the University of the West England in Bristol were stand out points for Professor Dr. Thomas Box. Kirby has served as a Graduate Assistant for Dr. Box this past academic year assisted the advertising for the Mini MBA program and the upcoming Lean Six Sigma program. Box said, “In 20 years Kirby is the most outstanding Graduate Assistant we have had.”
