III. Username & Password
IV. Changing Password

GusMail - powered by Google - brings with it many of the goodies Google's Gmail is known for, such as the ability to collaborate on documents and chat instantly with other GusMail users.  GusMail offers users over seven gigabytes of storage space. Your GusMail address will look like this: name@gus.pittstate.edu

Account Creation

  • Login to GUS.
  • Click "Computer Accounts and Passwords", from the menu on the left.
  • Under the "GusMail" heading, click "Create NEW gus.pittstate.edu GusMail Account".
  • Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the application process.

Account creation may take up to 24 hours. You may have to attempt to log in later.

Logging In
Follow this link: mail.gus.pittstate.edu

Or, from the Pitt State Home page, click on "Login" in the top right corner, then click "Email Login", then click "GusMail Access"

Username & Password

Your GusMail credentials are the same as your existing GUS system credentials.
Username = Student ID (ie 0999999; the last seven digits on your Student ID card)
Password = (the same as the password used to log into the GUS system)

Changing  Password
1. Log into GUS.
2. Click "Computer Accounts & Passwords".
3. Under GusMail section click on "Password Change".

If your GusMail password is changed, your GusPIN will change as well.  These passwords will always be identical; any changes to either will affect both.

If this does not resolve the issue, please feel free to contact us again.  We may need more information, such as the type of email account you have created, and where you are attempting to log in.  Please include your full name as well, as it will help us to serve you better in the future.
