Creating a GusMail account
GusMail (name@gus.pittstate.edu) Official email for PSU Students. Optional email for faculty and staff. GusMail is the primary e-mail provided for the university student population and upon creating the e-mail it becomes the students' primary e-mail account with the university. If you have an e-mail that is from another provider and would like that to be your preferred e-mail, please contact the Registrars office in order to make the change in your student file.
Faculty and staff may sign up for a GusMail account, which should only be used for personal use (GusMail is not intended for official PSU business). GusMail should not be used for official University business. GusMail is a lifelong account and is a perfect alternative to an official University @pittstate.edu email account upon retirement.
Creation of a GusMail account is similar to GorillaMail accounts. Begin by accessing your GUS system, and then click on Computer Accounts and Passwords.
From this menu, select "Create NEW gus.pittstate.edu GusMail Account".
Follow the on screen instructions to create and access the new GusMail account.
