E-Waste Disposal Service
Pittsburg State University offers electronic waste (e-waste) disposal services for all equipment purchased by the university. E-waste is obsolete, broken, or unwanted electronic equipment and includes common electronic products such as computers, monitors, televisions, cell phones, VCRs, and DVD players.
All computer storage devices and removable storage media needs to be cleaned prior to disposal. This will ensure that data is no longer available or recoverable. Storage devices should be directed to the department's technical support consultant to undergo the proper cleaning process.
