A windows network place is similar to a mapped drive and provides quick access to your Xythos stored files. To set up a Windows Network Place:
Go to Tools and select Map Network Drive.
Click on the Sign up for online storage or connect to a network server link.
When the Welcome to the Add Network Place Wizard appears, click Next.
Select Choose another network location and click next.
In the Internet or network address: field: Enter https://wfs.pittstate.edu and click Next.
Enter a name for the network place(Example: Xythos) and click Next.
Now, in the windows explorer window under My network places you will have a new link to your Xythos account. When you click on it you will be prompted for your GusPIN. Enter it and you will see three folders: facstaff, group_shares, and students. Your ID number will be under facstaff for faculty and staff or students if you are a student. Select your ID number and your files will be available to you. If you would like you can click and drag your folder (or the files within it) to your desktop and make shortcuts directly to them.
